Offcut is a group project as part of an elective in our fourth year of university. We collaborated from four different majors to create a multi functional bag, reusing offcuts from trucking tarpaulins. The bag can be used and worn in three different ways, as a duffle bag, a tote bag and a backpack. We collaborated with Bay of Plenty tarpaulin makers to reuse their offcuts in efforts to be more sustainable, in another effort to be sustainable we decided to make the bag multi functional, to help reduce consumerism when purchasing as you only need to buy the one bag as opposed to three different ones. The handles and over shoulder straps are all adjustable and the bag uses domes to change shape.
